Why did you get married in Scotland?
Answer
Because we wanted to. In January 2022, when we decided to meet Emma in Ireland later that year, we thought "would be pretty cool if we eloped." A friend had a contact that had availability to help us coordinate our day, and everything else quickly fell into place. And also, have you SEEN the Scottish highlands?

Will there be animals at your reception?
Answer
For a small period of time, yes we will have the zoo's animal ambassadors.

What about plus ones/children/someone I want to bring with me?
Answer
We've done our best to address our invitations specifically and inclusively to the specific people we want to invite to our vow renewal and reception, or indicate specifically that you have a guest/plus one included in your invite. If you aren't sure or have questions, just call or text us, we'll get things cleared up :)! Our vow renewal and reception is for guests 18+ only. We acknowledge that our friends and family include many young people that are incredibly important to us. We've thought through and decided this is the best decision for us and our reception. Thank you in advance for respecting our wishes and helping make this such a special day!

What is the dress attire?
Answer
While we want everyone to show up as their best authentic selves in clothes that make them comfortable, please do not wear jeans or jeans equivalent casual clothes, or polo shirts, you'll make it weird. Cocktail attire is recommended, not required.

Music Requests?
Answer
In order to preserve the peace of mind of our DJ and requests for songs we are avoiding, we will be limiting special requests on the evening of our reception. Please keep in mind, this will be an evening filled with friends, family, dancing, nostalgia, (and some alcohol probably!) Some of our music preferences will have explicit language. If this is something you are uncomfortable with, it is up to you to govern yourself accordingly.

What are the meal options?
Answer
We've selected three main course options that we hope cover all the dietary needs of our guests: Chicken Marsala with ravioli, Osso Bucco and veggies (gluten free), and Roasted vegetable quinoa stuffed pepper with veggies (Vegan). A variety of vegan, vegetarian, and other appetizers will be served during cocktail hour as well.
