Justin and Heather met online on Bumble during Heather's first few months living in Philadelphia. Heather actually cancelled meeting up on the night of their first planned date when she got stuck working late at the hospital- luckily for her, Justin was extremely nice about it and accepted her request to reschedule. Their first date was at 1 Tippling Place in Center City, where Justin impressed Heather with his smooth cocktail orders and dashing good looks, and Heather impressed Justin with her nerdy ortho talk and a very cute tank top (thanks Express!). They both had an amazing time on their first date, so much so that they scheduled their next date for the very next day to get drinks and watch the Eagles game. The next year and a half were filled with many incredible shared experiences together- getting to meet each others' families and friends, trips to Colorado, Boston, New Orleans, and Lancaster, adopting their son Bo the Shiba Inu together in January 2020, and moving in together in a house in Manayunk in May of 2020 (where Justin was VERY excited to become the official cat dad of Heather's cats Hippo and Cleo). Along the way were countless dinners cooked together, many desserts baked, hiking trips in Wissahickon, dance lessons taken together at Society Hill Dance Academy, movies watched, and arts and crafts projects like building benches for their rooftop or painting a WALL-E costume for Halloween. Justin and Heather have become each others' best friend, and on December 13th 2020 Justin brought Heather to Longwood Gardens to see the lights and the Christmas trees, and then he asked her to be his wife. We are so incredibly excited and happy to be starting this next chapter in our lives together, and could not be more excited for all of our loved ones to join us to celebrate!
