We will handle all RSVPs through our website. Because we have a weekend full of events, we ask guests to complete the online RSVP for ALL activities. It will help us plan appropriately.
The ceremony will start promptly at 5:30PM and will be followed by a cocktail hour in the piazza, second line, dinner, and reception. Guests are able to enter the venue beginning at 5:00PM and we encourage everyone to arrive early and grab a drink from the Elysian Bar on site to get the party started!
The wedding is black tie optional. Men are requested to wear suits or tuxedos with ties or bow ties. Women are requested to dress in long formal dresses. We encourage guests to wear colorful floral attire!
Please note that our wedding will be an adult-only event. We kindly request that guests make arrangements for children.
October in New Orleans is the heart of wedding season. We encourage guests to take advantage of our room blocks and book as soon as they are confident they will be able to attend. This will help ensure you secure your preferred accommodations.
There are two parts to a second line. The first line is made up of the grand marshal or parade leader, the band, and whomever is being honored. In a wedding, the bride, groom and wedding party take a position up front. The strutting revelers who fall in behind are referred to as the second line. The leaders of the parade carry decorated umbrellas, while the other participants shake handkerchiefs while they dance. A brass band plays some beats that gets everyone dancing and moving. You can often spot the second-line by bright colored suits and banners. Our second line will be thirty minutes of parading, if you plan on participating, be ready to walk and groove with us!
We love New Orleans and relish any chance we have to visit. You can find a list of some of our favorite spots under the "Things to Do" tab on our website.
New Orleans has wonderful late fall weather. Hurricane season will be winding down and temperatures will be in the high 70s with only a few days of rain for the month.
Dinner will be served family style and guests will have seat assignments. It is incredibly special having our family and friends join us for our special day. If you are sitting next to new faces, we encourage you to introduce yourselves over a communal meal.
If you would like to give a gift we have a registry through our wedding website. But we ask that you only bring yourselves and good times to our ceremony and reception as this is a destination wedding!
Our wedding will be rain or shine. The ceremony and reception will take place inside, while a contingency tent will be on standby in case of inclement weather. If weather is in the forecast, we will tent the piazza area for cocktail hour to avoid letting rain ruin our day!
While Hotel Peter and Paul does have a parking lot, it is reserved for guests of the hotel. Guests are asked to take taxis, or popular ride sharing apps to avoid clogging up the tight streets in the neighborhood.
Doors open at 5:00PM to our venue and the ceremony will begin promptly at 5:30PM. Once the ceremony has begun, doors will remain shut until the conclusion. Guests are encouraged to arrive early and congregate in the piazza ahead of the main event. The Elysian Bar will be open at 3:00PM servings drinks and guests are encouraged to grab a to-go cup and mingle.
