Question

Room Assignments

Answer

We want as many people as possible to celebrate with us, but there is limited sleeping capacity. Therefore, we are going to ask that some groups bunk up together. I will make sure to send out room assignments as soon as all RSVPs are received to make sure everyone is happy! There are a handful of cabins that don’t have a private bathroom and use the communal bath house. There will be a comment box on the RSVP where you can add any details we should consider. Feel free to add any roomies you’d prefer and we will accommodate if possible. We appreciate your understanding! Website: https://www.lochsalodge.com/accommodations/

Question

Liquor

Answer

There is a tavern attached to the main dining room, but Idaho has some funky liquor laws so the lodge isn’t allowed to serve anything above 15% (beer, wine, canned cocktails). However, the lodge is very BYOB friendly with some specific restrictions: NO outside liquor in the main lodge or back patio. Everywhere else on the property is BYOB friendly (cabins, back lawn, anywhere outside, the river, etc). Our cabin (Lewis & Clark cabin) will have an “open bar” on our porch. We are driving up beer, wine, liquor, mixers, etc which hopefully provides anything you might want to drink. The camp store sells beer and wine. You are also welcome to grab anything you might want in Missoula and take it up on the shuttle. No outside liquor in the main lodge or back patio, but we will have “Drink Parking Lots” at the lodge entrances to make compliance easy! You can set your drink down on the cocktail table and mark it with your name if you need to go inside to use the facilities, etc, and it will be waiting for you upon your return.

Question

Meals

Answer

Lunch on the river (if rafting), the rehearsal dinner, and dinner after the ceremony are all included in the official programming. For any other meals, the lodge restaurant is available. The restaurant is open from 8 am to 10 pm and serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The menu will change before the event, but you can look at the winter menu to get an idea of what they serve. Question

Packing

Answer

You might want to pack some additional items to help you with the elements: sunscreen, bug spray, jacket (it gets chilly at night), raincoat (hopefully not needed!), sturdy shoes to walk around the property, swimsuit. If you have any questions, just reach out!

Question

Rafting Attire

Answer

Wetsuits are provided as a part of the base rafting fee ($120/person). If you want to upgrade to a dry suit, you can pay an additional $25/person. The average water temperature of the river is between 55-60 degress Fahrenheit. It varies based on the snow melt conditions.

Question

Wifi / Cell Service

Answer

It is almost guaranteed that you will NOT have cell reception. There is Wifi in the main lodge, but not in the individual cabins. They also have DVDs you can borrow (it's basically 1995).

Question

Other Accommodations

Answer

If you prefer to stay somewhere other than Lochsa Lodge, that is fine with us! You will be responsible for your lodging fees and transportation. Feel free to come to the lodge anytime and join the group for any programming! Just make sure to let us know when you RSVP so we don’t count your group in the accommodation headcount. Also, please still RSVP to all events you plan to attend so we get the right headcount for food, etc.

Question

Little Ones

Answer

While we adore your children, we’ve chosen to make our wedding a weekend just for grown-ups. We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
