Are you hosting events other than the wedding?

All wedding guests are also invited to our welcome party on July 10th and the post-wedding pizza/pool party on July 12th! You've traveled all this way to celebrate our special day, so we hope to spend as much time with you all as possible!

Is transportation provided?

On wedding day, there will be shuttle service from 2 downtown Florence locations both before and after the day's events. Shuttle pick-up locations will be within walking distance of Piazza di Santa Croce and Via il Prato. For the welcome event (Obica Mozzarella Bar) on July 10th and the pizza/pool party on July 12th (Villa Merlo Nero), we recommend walking or leveraging a taxi service. Taxi service: +39 055 4390 or +39 055 4242 (we recommend calling using WhatsApp or asking your hotel front desk or Airbnb host).

Do you have any accomodation recommendations?

Please see 'travel' page for more information. Florence has endless options in terms of accommodations - there are hotel and Airbnb options to fit any budget. If you would like to take advantage of the shuttle service on wedding day, we recommend staying within walking distance of Piazza di Santa Croce or Via il Prato, which are both located near the shuttle pick up spots. Our venue is in the city of Florence so it's also easy to access via taxi service if you choose to stay farther from the shuttle pick up points. Are kids welcome?

We love kids - especially yours! Ultimately we have decided to make our big day an adults-only event. We understand some families will be making our wedding a small part of a big family trip (how fun!) so our wedding planner has provided the contact information for the best babysitting services in Florence. We ask that you RSVP as soon as possible or by April 30, 2023 at the latest.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
Parking at the villa on wedding day will be extremely limited. Instead, we are providing a shuttle service from and to downtown Florence. Taxis in Florence are also quite easy to use, which provides another transportation option. Taxi service: +39 055 4390 or +39 055 4242 (we recommend calling using WhatsApp or leveraging your Hotel front desk or Airbnb host for booking). For the post-wedding pizza/pool party celebration on July 12, guests who have rented cars are welcome to park on site, if desired.

Villa Merlo Nero (location for both the wedding and the pizza/pool party) is located in Florence, just a 25-minute walk or a 10-minute drive from the city center.
