Airport Options

For those flying to LA: You may consider flying into either Los Angeles International (LAX) or Hollywood Burbank (BUR) airport. The Hollywood Burbank Airport is smaller and sometimes a better fit For all international guests: LAX is our international airport serving Los Angeles, if your flight is originating outside of California then this airport will be best.

Airbnb

For those traveling from out of town, we recommend booking AirBnb as there are many great options available at affordable prices. The best options are offered by "Superhosts". Avoid scam listings - only book places that already have reviews. Lots of lodging is available in the Topanga Hills and surrounding area. We also recommend looking around Santa Monica, Sherman Oaks or adjacent neighborhoods. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us with any questions!

Travel Note

Getting to the 1909 and LA traffic

The 1909 is located at 1909 N. Topanga Canyon Blvd in Topanga. From the Santa Monica/coastal side of the venue: Head north along the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH) and take a right on Topanga Canyon Blvd. Continue on this road until you reach The 1909 on your left. From the Valley side of the venue: The 101 freeway or Ventura Blvd are the main streets to reach Topanga Canyon Blvd. Head south on Topanga Canyon Blvd until you reach The 1909 on your right. Despite the general directions above, traffic can be very unpredictable! We highly recommend using Google Maps, which has real-time traffic information, to estimate travel time and plan your route. At minimum, allow 40 minutes from neighborhoods such as Santa Monica or Sherman Oaks.

Rental Car

Rental cars and Uber/Lyft

If you're looking to rent a car for the duration of your stay, we suggest sites like princeline.com, hertz.com, and orbitz.com. There are usually good car rental options on arrival at the airport, connected by shuttle bus. Alternately, it is very easy and convenient to use services like Uber and Lyft. Download from the App Store. For new Lyft users, enter code GENNA827363 when signing up for ride credits. These cars are everywhere!
