With slacks, a button-down shirt, and maybe a blazer or summer suit for men and sundresses or summer dress clothes for women, this is about as casual as you can get and still feel dressed up for an affair. Khaki pants and fun prints are welcome, with a definite emphasis on lighter, nice-but-not-too-nice attire for what is a more casual, but still very special, event. We recommend flat shoes, not spikes, so you don’t sink into the lawn.
Anna and Justin would like their ceremony to be a quiet and sacred affair. In order to avoid the din and fuss of so many modern matrimonial events, they will be wed in a private ceremony a week before the grand reception of September 1st.
If your invitation says “and Guest,” then yes, if not, we would prefer if it was just you.
