Question

Are the ceremony and reception at the same location?

Answer

Yes - they are both in the Lake St. Clair Metropark. As long as weather permits, the ceremony will be held outside at the Surfside site - a very short drive or a few minute walk from the Thomas Welsh Activity Center.

Do I need to pay to enter the park?

Answer

Nope!! All guests of the Jurek-Urso wedding will be allowed through the main park entry free of charge once.

Is the reception indoors??

Answer

Yes! The reception will be INDOORS, inside the Thomas Welsh Activity Center (angular building with plenty of glass windows). If you overheat tearing up the dance floor, there is ample space to get air outside the activity center!

So - the ceremony will be outdoors, weather permitting. What if weather is bad?

Answer

In the case of inclement weather, the wedding ceremony will be held inside the Activity Center.

There are a lot of hotels listed! Where should I stay?

Answer

We wanted to list all the closest hotels to give a range of options for different budgets. For those looking for a budget hotel, Roseville has some lower-priced options. While there is nothing 5-star in close proximity, many of the hotels in Chesterfield are newer 3-star hotels. (If you willing to travel further and truly want a luxury experience, there are several options in downtown Detroit including the Westin Book Cadillac and the Marriott at the Renaissance Center to name a few.)
