Julie and Casey met at the University of Pittsburgh in December of 2013 in the Athletics Department after Julie graduated from Slippery Rock. She was starting as an unpaid intern in the Media Relations Office and Casey took her under her wing. They went from colleagues to learning that they were born 1 day apart (Julie is 1 day older), became office neighbors, best friends, and roommates. The two were inseparable while working in the Petersen Events Center and made so many memories together. Casey will be getting married in July of 2026 and Julie and Brad could not be more happy for her and Adam!

OUR MATCHMAKER! Julie and Bre first met in the Senat Hall on the campus of Penn State Behrend in 2010 as freshmen. They bonded over a game of beer pong and some classic 2010 jams. Their friendship endured many changes over the years: Julie transferring to Slippery Rock then Bre moving to Texas in 2014. She has been a steadfast, wonderful, caring human in both Julie and Brad's lives for some of the most pivotal times in their lives. And, after almost 8 years, her matchmaking efforts have finally paid off.

Julie and Becca go WAY back - back to peewee soccer days! However, it wasn't until high school that their bond formed. Spending lots of time together on the freshmen basketball team, Julie and Becca quickly solidified a friendship that's been around since 2008. Julie had the opportunity to stand by Becca on her wedding day in 2022, and Julie is thrilled to have her stand by her on her wedding day too!

Julie and Hannah became fast friends when she moved to Pittsburgh in 2019(ish) to be with her now-husband who Julie worked with at Pitt. Hannah is the kind of person that can make anyone feel special and is one of the most caring people Julie knows. The two have bonded over their love of romance books, visiting bookstores, and the Wicked movie. Julie is so excited to have Hannah be by her side!

Marissa and Julie first met virtually during graduate school in 2020, and became best friends once graduate school moved to in-person the following year when Julie moved to Slippery Rock. They've shared so many laughs, tears, and important conversations together - she has truly made Julie a better person and career coach. Julie and Brad had the amazing opportunity to witness Marissa receive her dream job offer from the University of Florida on graduation day, where she's blossomed since!

Julie and Brad couldn't say "I do" without Brad's sister, Nikki, standing by them! Nikki has graciously welcomed Julie into the Grimm/Jeffrey family, to which she is beyond thankful for. Nikki is the mother of two incredible tiny humans, Reese and Quinn, who will serve as flower girls!

Dom Rodriguez

Dom and Brad first met in college during their freshmen year at Penn State Erie - The Behrend College. They roomed in the same dorm block and immediately became close friends when they noticed that they had the same type of goofy personalities and their love of video games. He, as well as fellow groomsmen Brad K, Kyle, and Josh, all became very close with Brad making this their tight friend group. After rooming together in the same suite and having a long list of college memories, Brad moved to Houston, TX and Dom came along with his girlfriend at the time (now wife), Sarah. They remained very close down in Houston but once Dom and Sarah moved back to PA, it became tough. After some time, Brad eventually met Julie and moved back to Pittsburgh. This made them close in proximity again and happy to be more in each other's lives once again. Now, Dom is a husband and father to 3 adorable boys.

Josh Stidham

One of the goofiest guys in the bunch and the meme king, Josh and Brad first met like many of the others in college at Penn State Behrend. Josh will always be known as the person who gave Brad his nickname in college (Grimm) since there were 2 different Brads (Brad Kasperski) in the suite. Endless college memories and both having Mechanical Engineering majors led to both Brad and Josh getting jobs at the same internship in Erie (FMC Technologies). After graduation, they both got the chance to work for the company in Houston, TX. Josh remained there for a couple of years but he was missing the love of his life, Savanna, who was working in North Carolina. Josh then left to be with his now wife, living in both North Carolina and Utah. Brad and Josh remain very close via their love of video games, movies, and seeing each other during the holidays. Josh now lives near Charlotte, NC with his wife, Savanna, and their cute little dog, Bernie.

Kyle Sarver

Kyle met Brad at the same time as the rest of the bunch, during freshmen year at Penn State Behrend. They immediately grew close via their love of Pittsburgh sports, especially the Penguins and Steelers. The college memories were great as Brad roomed with Kyle for basically the entirety of their college years. Great times of playing video games, watching sports, and endless pranks on one another led to years they could never forget. Kyle was a Mechanical Engineer as well and also got an internship at FMC soon after Brad did. They both moved down to Texas together for the job and remained there until Brad met Julie and moved back to Pittsburgh. Kyle remained in Houston with his girlfriend, Kylie, until just recently where they both received opportunities out near Denver, CO where they just moved. Brad and Julie are so happy for their new jobs and the beautiful house that they now have in Colorado!

Brad Kasperski

Brad K and Brad (Grimm) met, you guessed it, during freshmen year at Penn State Behrend as well. They remained close all throughout college as Brad K was a Mechanical Engineering major too and the goofiness and sense of humor meshed perfectly with Brad's. They both received, again you guessed it, internships at FMC and moved to Houston together. With the whole gang in Houston, Brad had his whole friend group to stay close with. Brad K is the lone one of the group still in Houston as he met his now wife, Sammie, and they now have a beautiful apartment together. Brad K and Sammie always had a welcome home to Brad in Houston where they hung out, had dinner nights, and played video games frequently. Even after Brad's move back to Pittsburgh, him and Brad K have remained great friends. Through gaming, nightly chats, and Brad K's visits to Pittsburgh, him and Brad never miss a beat.

Sam Jeffrey

Sam is the brother in law to Brad and the husband to Brad's sister (Nikki). Brad knew ever since high school, where they both played soccer together, that Sam was perfect for his sister. Sam is always the type of person that Brad loved to hang out with due to his infatuation of sports, sense of humor, and his loving family. Sam and his family welcomed Brad as one of their own. Sam always invites Brad to many Jeffrey family get togethers where great friends, jokes, and of course alcohol, are always available. Sam has always been there for Brad and remains such a crucial role in his family every single day. Sam has 2 beautiful daughters (Reese and Quinn) and all will be part of the beautiful wedding celebration!

Chris Jurich

Chris is the brother to Julie and Brad knew the moment he met him that he was going to get along great with him. Chris has such a huge love for the outdoors, just as Brad does, and specifically around fishing. Brad always loves to hear about what fishing adventure Chris goes on. The outdoors, hockey, and that Jurich goofy sense of humor is exactly why Brad and Chris have become so close in such a short number of years. Chris has a beautiful house in Trafford and comes by the Jurich's for almost all Sunday family dinners and family occasions. There could not be a celebration without Chris being a main part of it and Brad is super excited to have him part of his and Julie's special day!
