Our Story

Julie and Brad both attended Penn State Behrend from 2010-2012 but never met. In 2012, Julie transferred to Slippery Rock University, and remained close with her friend Bre who became friends with Brad in 2012. Fast forward to 2014 when Brad, Bre, and a group of friends from Behrend all moved to Houston, TX. Bre would occasionally tell Julie and Brad that they would make a great couple, etc., etc. But, Julie was in and out of relationships and Brad was in Texas so nothing ever came of it. Fast forward again to 2021 when the stars aligned. Julie was single and Brad was coming home to Pittsburgh to celebrate Bre's 30th birthday. The two hit it off. But it wouldn't be until a year later when Julie reached out to Brad to start the conversation again. The two moved from texting to Zoom dates while Julie was in Slippery Rock and Brad still in Texas. She helped him with his résumé to look for a job back home in Pittsburgh and officially started dating long distance in January 2022. Brad eventually landed a job back home and moved back! The two then moved in together after Julie graduated, bought their first house in the summer of 2023, and adopted their dog Penny in January of 2024. Brad proposed to Julie on November 2, 2024 at Point State Park, marking the beginning to their forever.
