Our Proposal
Imagine this, I had just completed my military service and was working alongside my uncle while striving to secure a decent job. I decided to sign up on an online chat app. Scanning through profiles, I stumbled upon Quinee's, giving the impression that she was searching for someone special. Well, I couldn't have been more mistaken! Initially, as we began conversing, it appeared that she was solely interested in ONLINE CHATS. However, everything changed that Christmas (2018). While hanging out with friends at home, I unexpectedly received a call from Quinee. It struck me as both peculiar and amusing. Sneaking away from the party to the bathroom, Quinee nervously dialed my number. Despite her initial apprehension, she gradually opened up during our conversation. As we spoke freely over the phone, I discovered that she was truly one of the most incredible people I'd ever talked to. Despite our differing hobbies, we found ourselves connecting on numerous ideas, sharing mutual favorite shows, movies, and games. Realizing the depth of our connection, I understood that if I didn't act swiftly, I might lose her from my life.
After years of conversing online, and following a pandemic that prevented us from meeting each other for years, the second an opportunity came to meet, we grasped it. Our first trip together took us to Maldives as it was one of the only places in the world where we could be together. I was nervous, for one I am not a fan of flying and I was flying to the other side of the world to meet her. After a long delayed flight and having several layovers in different places I finally landed in Maldives. The entire time I was messaging Quinee who arrived 10 hours before me. After getting off the plane and getting my luggage I walked to the exit and there for the first time I saw her not behind a screen but in person. I couldn't describe to you the immediate emotion I had of love at first sight. Even though we had talked with each other everyday for over 3 years, seeing her in person made me cry. It was the validation that we wanted after all these years. We finally met and able to hug and from that point on I knew this was the woman I would love forever.
