Junior and Ella met at Bushnell University in the fall of 2021 at orientation. They had some classes together but ran in different friend groups so they didn't interact much. They starting working together in the admissions department in 2022 but didn't interact much due to working different shifts. In November of 2022, Junior started coming around campus more often and encouraging Ella to attend more school events. After a sophomore event, Junior asked Ella if she wanted to play chess in the community space on campus. Although Ella didn't care to play chess she was interested in getting to know Junior better. They played chess for 3 hours until Ella was tired of losing. That night was the start of a beautiful friendship: full of late night drives, spontaneous adventures, pickleball, snowboarding and lots of laughter. Ella and Junior quickly became inseparable as they lived in the same apartment complex. The next three years seemed to fly by as Ella and Junior drew closer to the Lord and each other as they served together in youth ministry. They went on unforgettable youth and mission trips together and love working alongside each other as they learn how to lead the next generation. The love they display for each other starts with the love they have for God. They both grew up in Christian homes and have learned what it means to have a personal relationship with God. In January of 2023, Junior invited Ella to attend his church and eventually serve alongside him. As they began attending church together Junior gracefully spurred Ella on to have a deeper relationship with God. In the early stages of their relationship Ella knew that Junior had a deep love for God and was a strong leader. As Junior and Ella prepare to get married they look forward to what God has in store for their future as one. They look forward to walking through life together as they teach, coach, and serve in ministry together.
