Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Jung Fitzpatrick and Chris Tallon
There are so many fun things to do in the Yay Area. Here are a few ideas on both side of the Bay. Feel free to ask us for more personal recommendations as well!

SF: City Guides Walking Tours - Donation based

San Francisco, CA

We've done a few of these together and with visitors and have enjoyed them all. BC (Before Chris), Jung did many of these tours when she first moved to SF, and loved learning about the various neighborhoods of the city! The roster of tours includes the Japanese Tea Garden, which you know we've been to!

Oakland: Dimond Park - a hidden gem in the city

3860 Hanly Road, Oakland, CA 94602

Jung's favorite park in Oakland. You'd never really know it's there, nestled in a residential area. Long and narrow, it follows Sausal Creek and has a variety of fun trails that can be short and easy to more strenuous. There are graffiti murals and rope swings! Jung took Parker, her friend Katja's dog whom she was dog-sitting, there for a long hike right before her first "date" with Chris. She and Parker enjoyed it so much that Jung ran a bit late and sweaty for the date....

SF: Concrete Slides at Seward Mini Park

70 Corwin Street, San Francisco, CA 94114

This is for the little and big kids although the big kids (adults) must be accompanied by a kid to enter the park!

Oakland: Wooden Table Baking Cafe

2300 Broadway, Oakland, CA 94612

This was where we met up for our first "date" - before Chris had any romantic intentions with Jung. Knowing that Chris and his sister were born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and had lived there as young children, Jung suggested this place for their delicious alfajores and Argentine treats. Wooden Table Baking has gluten-free and vegan options as well as yerba mate...¡Qué rico!

SF: Arsicault Bakery

397 Arguello Boulevard, San Francisco, CA 94118

Our favorite place for buttery, decadent croissants in the city. We learned about them from our foodie friends, Joey and Huey, who regularly do marathon walking and eating tours of the city. They told us that these croissants were as good as the ones you could get in Paris. Chris was skeptical until he tried them. When we went to Paris, we decided we liked Arsicault's croissants better than the croissants we had there! There are two locations in SF, with slightly different offerings and schedules. Treat yo' self!

Oakland: Explore Rockridge including Cole Coffee Café

6255 College Avenue, Oakland, CA 94618

Rockridge is accessible by BART and is a very cute walkable neighborhood that has good eats and nice shops including Pegasus Book Store. Chris loves stopping at Cole Coffee for a cuppa. One of his favorite in the Bay.
