FAQs

The Wedding Website of Jung Fitzpatrick and Chris Tallon
At Monet's Garden a couple of days after we got engaged in Paris. June 2021.
Question

What about your actual wedding?

Answer

We agreed early on that we wanted a small ceremony with our immediate family at San Francisco's beautiful City Hall and then a larger celebrate with our wider community of friends and family. The wedding will be next year before the reception - we can only schedule 90 days in advance, so don't have a date yet!

Question

When should I RSVP by?

Answer

May 26, 2024

Question

Why a botanical garden theme?

Answer

We love gardens and make it a point to visit a botanical garden wherever we travel. We've been lucky to visit gardens as famous as Monet's Garden to more locally known gems such as the artist succulent garden in Encinitas, and many more in-between from Phoenix, AZ to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico including the lovely gardens of our families and friends. When thinking of and searching for reception venues, we knew we wanted to do it at a garden. We love that the Brazilian Room is right next to the Tilden Regional Parks Botanic Garden, which is free for our guests to enjoy at any point before, during, or after our reception! Since our reception is during the day in the middle of summer, we want folks to feel comfortable in less formal wardrobe and have creative license to wear something fun. What's more casual and fashionable than a summer garden party?

Question

Is the venue accessible?

Answer

The Brazilian Room is ADA accessible. Please let us know if you need special accommodations.

Question

Is there parking for the reception?

Answer

There are 34 spaces in the adjoining lot and 36+ additional nearby street spaces.

Question

I have a special diet, will I be able to eat something?

Answer

Our caterer offers a variety of options that are Gluten-Free, Dairy-Free, and vegan.

Question

May I bring a guest?

Answer

In order to keep our celebration intimate, we're limiting guests of guests. Please reach out if you'd like to bring someone special along.

Question

We have young children, are they welcome?

Answer

Yes! Our reception is family-friendly. We will have lawn games and crafts for the young and young-at-heart guests.

Question

What about fur babies?

Answer

As much as we'd love to have pups and kitties present, they are not allowed at the venue.

Question

SF or East Bay - Where to stay?

Answer

It depends on what you want. We love both sides of the bay; each has its own flavor. There are beautiful green spaces as well as delicious eats in each place so think about what you'd like to do if you're staying for awhile. SF may be more convenient if you're flying into SFO, or more alluring if you want a bigger/denser city experience. Oakland, Berkeley, or elsewhere in the East Bay may be more appealing if you're flying into Oakland or driving up and staying a few days. Parking is a tad easier in the East Bay :) That said, for accommodations, we recommend looking for lodging outside of downtown SF or Oakland. You'll get a more neighborhood-y vibe with all the amenities of walkability, sweet mom and pop shops, and finding a cafe to make your own. Feel free to check in with us about areas that you're looking at and we can help you with more local knowledge to make your decision.

Question

Why a Charitable Registry?

Answer

We are passionate about making the world a better place and agreed that we don't need more stuff. We have enough and if we don't have it...do we really need it? We value experiences over material things; some of our most fun and rewarding experiences as a couple have been volunteering together to support causes we care about. We've written and mailed hundreds of letters to voters in swing states for federal elections to encourage them to exercise their right to vote for whomever and we've fostered puppies and kitties from the SF SPCA...which is how we ended up with our little fluff nugget, Una! Together we have also sponsored a young girl's education in Bangladesh for the past two years and we love receiving her annual handwritten updates. We are rich in love, health, and community, so we'd prefer to give back to organizations that are doing really good work in the world. Please consider contributing to one of the nonprofits we love in lieu of a physical gift. Your donation is tax deductible.
