Our wedding will take place in Roatán, Honduras.
Roatán has one airport: Juan Manuel Gálvez International Airport (RTB). This is the closest and most convenient airport to the wedding venue and hotels.
Yes! There are direct flights from Miami on select days (usually Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays). Flights from other cities often connect through Fort Lauderdale, Houston, or San Pedro Sula.
That’s very common. If you fly into San Pedro Sula (SAP), you can take a short 45-minute domestic flight to Roatán with local airlines such as Aerolíneas Sosa.
Yes, a valid passport is required. U.S. citizens and most other travelers do not need a visa for tourist stays in Honduras. 😄
Yes. Taxis are readily available at the airport, and many hotels offer private transfers or shuttles. Travel time from the airport to most West Bay hotels is about 15–20 minutes.
Beach-appropriate formal or cocktail attire. Light, breathable fabrics and comfortable shoes are encouraged due to the warm, tropical climate.
Roatán is warm year-round, with average temperatures between 78–88°F (26–31°C). We suggest packing light clothing, sunscreen, and a light cover-up for evenings
The local currency is the Honduran Lempira, but U.S. dollars are widely accepted, especially in hotels, restaurants, and tourist areas Conversion US $1 = Lps 26.79 (Honduras Lempira)
Yes. Roatán is a well-known tourist destination and is generally safe, especially in areas like West Bay and West End. As with any destination, we recommend standard travel awareness.
Roatán offers amazing activities such as: Snorkeling, scuba diving, beach days at West Bay, boat tours, catamaran tours, island tours, cultural tours, spa days and beachfront dining.
Only for invitation.
