The Proposal
“You, Me & Gravity,” An Excerpt: When you came back to me, it was almost as if I was holding a world of old and new. Now we both know where we are going - soaring through the skies one cloud at a time, embracing the ground below us and above the shades of blue. I found the string to my kite that I lost in the stratosphere, some time ago. But you were never really lost Because lost things cannot be found And you were never really gone Because you never would have come back down You were just exploring distant worlds out there Waiting to be found again by the very universe that inspired you in the first place A universe here, on Earth The Milky Way in an iris A nebula in an embrace A supernova in a kiss Happy flying And remember - it was always about you, It was always about finding this. -J.S.
