Travel Note
The weather in La Quinta in early November is pretty wonderful! It should be between 70-80 degrees during the day, and between 50-60 degrees at night. You'll want to pack both warm and cool-weather clothing. Bring swimsuits and active wear for the day, and a warm layer for the night. Every event for our wedding will be outdoors. Sunset is at 4:45pm this time of year, which means the temperature will drop quickly.
Hotel
La Quinta Resort is the one-stop shop for our wedding weekend. All wedding events are taking place here, and this is also the only place we have a designated room block. Resort guests have access to all pool, golf, tennis, and spa facilities. To access the special rate, please book using the below URL. Note: If you're a Hilton Honors member, La Quinta Resort is a Hilton property. While you can't redeem points to book within our room block, you should be able to earn reward points for your stay. Please call the hotel at 760-564-4111 with any questions.
Flight
The best way to arrive in the Coachella Valley is to fly into Palm Springs International Airport (PSP). It's a small, easy airport to navigate. Plus, the panoramic mountain views as you touch down are spectacular. It's about a 30min drive from PSP to La Quinta. If you don't rent a car (more on that below), you should be able to get an Uber or taxi. If you're flying in from the NY/NJ area, there are seasonal, nonstop flights from JFK into PSP. If your route requires a layover to reach PSP, we've found that Dallas/Fort Worth, Phoenix, and Denver are common options to coordinate multi-city itineraries through. There are a bunch of daily flights to PSP across United, American, Delta, Alaska, and Southwest airlines from these destinations. Another option, if you want to minimize air travel time, is to fly direct/nonstop to a larger airport in Southern California, such as the below, and make the drive from the coast to the desert. Los Angeles (LAX) | ~2 hours 25 mins away Orange County/Santa Ana (SNA) | ~2 hours 20 mins away San Diego (SAN) | ~2 hours 35 mins away
Rental Car
Any of the major rental car companies like Budget, Hertz, Avis, and the like are available at Palm Springs International Airport. The counter is inside the airport, and the lot is adjacent. It's a close walk and easy process, in our experience. Because our entire wedding weekend is taking place in a single location, and there is plenty to do at the resort, if you're staying at La Quinta with us, you technically don't need a rental car. The town of La Quinta, which has some shops, restaurants, and bars, is a 5-min drive (via Uber or car), and a 30-min walk from the resort. If you plan on staying offsite, extending your stay, or exploring the greater Palm Springs area while you're here, then a rental car is the best way to do so. Check out the "Things to Do" section of our wedding website for our recommendations!
House Or Rental
While La Quinta Resort is where our events and room block are, you are welcome to stay wherever you're comfortable. If you search Airbnb and VRBO, you may see some properties come up within La Quinta Resort. Those are villas & condos that are privately owned and rented out. Those are a good option because they're close to the wedding events and other guests staying onsite, and you'll have access to the Resort facilities. Otherwise, there should be many hotel and rental options around the town of La Quinta and in neighboring towns like Indian Wells and Palm Desert. **Please note: there will be no provided transportation to or from the resort and venue throughout the wedding weekend. If you choose to stay offsite, please ensure you look up directions and drive times to and from La Quinta Resort and plan accordingly.**
