The place where we got engaged! A HUGE and beautiful park full of dogs, sand volleyball and people drinking wine on picnic blankets. One of our favorite spots for date night.
Rent a paddleboard for a few hours and get an amazing view of hill country and the city skyline! A must do while you are in Austin.
A long staircase up and a beautiful view at the top! A quick way to see the beauty of the city.
Take a stroll around the lake, rent a bike (Barton Springs Bike Rental and Tours) or go for a jog if you're up for it. It's 10 miles all the way around, but you can go as far as you'd like.
A fun street to walk around and shop, eat, drink, see the skyline.
Party street! A street full of older houses turned into bars. An Austin favorite and our usual place to go with friends.
- Meanwhile Brewing - Central Machine Works - Black Sheep Lodge (Wisconsin style cheese curds) - Wanderlust Wine Co. (over 50 wines on tap!) - Zanzibar - Banger's Sausage House and Beer Garden - Mean Eyed Cat (Johnny Cash Bar)
- Terry Blacks (the best BBQ you will find. don't leave without getting brisket and be prepared to wait a bit!) - Gabriela's Downtown ( one of our favorite Mexican spots) - Torchy's Taco's (get the queso!!!) - El Arroyo (home of the famous billboard) - Taco trucks. Usually the ones on the side of the road are the best ones.
