In June 2017, Landon and I met at our first job after college. Landon's desk was right behind mine and we'd tease with each other from time to time. It wasn't until a night on the town when we bumped into one another at a bar in downtown Richmond where we danced the night away. We have been in each other's lives ever since then. Our first official date was a casual walk in downtown Richmond by the James River across the T. Pottersfield Bridge - the same bridge Landon would propose on 6 years later.

In February of 2023, Landon told me he had an evening work event one Saturday night in downtown Richmond. He said clients would be there so we'd be dressing up and I should "get my nails done" - something I'd always told him I needed to have done whenever he planned to propose. Saturday rolled around, as cold and rainy as it could have been. I went along with the story, truly believing there was a work event that evening. When we arrived downtown, at the James River, in the cold rain, not a work event or person in sight, I knew the jig was up. We walked to a bridge that overlooked the city and he proposed in the same place we had our first date. He had hired a photographer to capture the event and planned an evening at the Jefferson Hotel for celebrations.

Six years later we have made it through several job changes, a pandemic, lay offs, long distance dating, getting our pup River, home buying, and fixer upper renovations. In December of 2022, we bought our dream home on 25 acres just outside Richmond, VA. Since then Landon, River, and I have added to our family with a cat, goats, horses, and chickens. We are living our best lives together and can’t wait to tie the knot with family and friends this June.
