We're getting married!

We met at dinner in the cafeteria at Harding in the fall of 2017. Lance obviously didn't like how crazy my roommate Lynea and I were. We didn't meet again until January; this time, Lance was into me, and his best friend Kyle could tell. That's when Kyle and Lynea decided to set us up. After texting for about a week, Lance asked me on a date, which was 8 hours long! He asked me to be his girlfriend the next day, and of course, I said yes.

My suitemates and I were going to have a photoshoot for our own "Christmas cards." Lance had told me he had a job interview that morning, so I didn't think he was in Searcy for the weekend. We walked over to the bell tower by Starbucks on Harding's campus, and the photographer said he had to take a few photos to get the lighting right, which seemed believable. Lance had been hiding behind the bell tower the whole time, so when I tried to get some hair out of my face, I turned around and he was right behind me! He got down on one knee and asked me to marry him, and of course, I said yes.
