If you have some time, we strongly encourage you to walk or bike around to explore the various neighbourhoods in Copenhagen! A few places we like to visit: Broens Gadekøkken: A large outdoor food market across the water from Nyhavn with a great view of the canals La Banchina: A café, natural wine bar, and swim spot in one, especially nice on sunny days, out in Refshaleøen Københavns Bageri, Hart: two of our absolute favorite bakeries Værnedamsvej Street: A cozy street filled with boutiques, cafés, and wine bars. Louisiana Museum of Modern Art: A bit outside the city, but well worth it if you’re staying longer. Ved Stranden: A wine bar on the canals of Copenhagen, with a great wine and snack selection Kødbyen: the old meatpacking district in Vesterbro, filled with good restaurants
We’re so thankful that you're joining us for the celebrations - we know many are travelling to be with us and we have no expectations for gifts! A few of you have still asked, in which case a small contribution toward our honeymoon is warmly appreciated. How to contribute? The wedding party is held in Refshaleøen, taxi is the most convenient way home after the party (+45 35 35 35 35). We will be about 15 minutes drive from Nyhavn. We highly recommend downloading the Dan Taxi or Taxa.dk app for convenience and pre-booking).
When you RSVP you will be asked about your dietary restrictions which will be shared with the venue. If you have any questions or need to update your preferences, please reach out to us - berdalwedding@gmail.com
On Friday the dress code is casual-chic - please keep in mind we hope to be outside, weather permitting. For the wedding itself the dress code is semi-formal - both tuxes and dark suits are encouraged. We encourage you to keep an eye out on the weather, and bring an umbrella if needed (we will be outside just after the ceremony).
While we're excited to show you a few different places in Copenhagen, it requires some coordination! From the church to the boat we recommend taking the metro (we're sure some local friends will help guide the way!). It should take around 15 minutes door-to-door. If taxi feels more comfortable, we recommend downloading the taxi app listed in the FAQ. From there the boat will take us all out to the event venue. The boat ride will take one hour and there is a bathroom on board. The event venue is about a 15 minute drive (taxi) from the city center.
Hotel 25Hours Paper Island is the hotel closest to the welcome drink and the party venue. You can book a room with a 20% discount with the code 25HWEDDING. Admiral Hotel, and Phoenix Hotel and Scandic Front are also well placed. Hotel Ottilia in Carlsberg Byen and at Hotel Danmark near Gammel Strand offer 15% off with the code BERDALWEDDING. We also recommend looking for an Airbnb. If you're unsure about location we are happy to advise, just write us your questions!
