Things we love in NYC

The Wedding Website of Julie Salzman and Jorge Miranda
Hola! Welcome to the big city amigos. Yes, you might get yelled at on the street by an angry New Yorker and the summer might smell like dog pee and you might get pooped on by a pigeon - but you’re going to absolutely LOVE IT. It’s loud, exciting and full of amazing restaurants, bars and endless activities. Our favorite things to do and places to eat are listed below! We have curated the best of the best to make your trip amazing. You can either live like a New Yorker, live like a tourist, or do both. Don’t worry ladies, we have listed out some of my favorite healthy spots, nail & hair salons, and work out classes if you are up for that. Food Tips: Make reservations 2 weeks in advance. Create logins and download the below apps - Resy and download the App - OpenTable and download the App - We love tipping in America, a 15-20% tip expected. Lo Siento.

The downstairs bar feels like a basement from the 1970’s, with a pool table and vintage decor. Patent Pending Patent Pending is an old client of Julie’s! It's a speakeasy located in Flatiron with very strong cocktails. Backdoor Prohibition inspired speakeasy, with jazz on Mondays Peachy’s Cocktail lounge in ChinaTown 310 Bowery A brotastic spot great for sports games and they have delish pizza

IF YOU HAVE BEEN TO NYC

Highline The Highline will never get old to me, it’s so beautiful. If you are a runner, wake up early and run the highline, it’s magical. The HL is always having new art installations that are intertwined in the nature of the park. Chelsea Market This is one of my favorite places to explore. It’s one of the biggest and best food halls and marketplaces. Comedy Cellar One of Julie and Jorge’s favorite things to do in NYC. This is an evening activity, shows start at 8 and 10 Central Park You can walk around central park for hours. It's the best. Domino Park This is where we live! You can make a whole day out of walking around Williamsburg. Dumbo, Brooklyn Bridge Park Washington street between Front & Water is the classic Instagram pic and for good reason. South Street Seaport This is where we got engaged! Map the Fulton Market Building. It’s larger than life building with beautiful views and incredible food.

GYM CLASSES

Rumble Flatiron - Training We are obsessed with Rumble Training. It's a treadmill and bootcamp, but the lights are dim and it feels like you are clubbing. The music is great and the teachers rock. We love Alexis! Mile High Run Club Running classes are a thing in America, we know it's super weird, but very fun. Physique57 Spring Street For the ladies that like barre and pilates, this studio is awesome. Just don’t go the morning before the wedding or you might not be able to dance. Pure Barre Union Square Like Physique, this is a barre class I take almost weekly! Avea Pilates This is the pilates place the girls go to. We love the instructor Celia. This class is on a reformer, it’s super slow but burns New York Pilates Very trendy pilates studio. Slow, relaxing but hurts! Y7 Yoga Locations all over the city. This is not your typical yoga class, it’s hot yoga in the dark with pumping music.

GLAM & WELLNESS

They have many locations and offer different types of facials Paint box Trendy nail salon in Upper East Side. They can do crazy nail art Chillhouse Location in Soho, 75 Varick Street. I love Chillhouse! They have the coolest products, cutest space and it’s also a cafe. They offer manicures, pedicures, facials and massages. Cutler Soho I go to Cutler to get my color done. I always feel like a celebrity when I go. Hailey Beiber will sometimes visit this location. It’s definitely pricey but a New York Hair mecca in my opinion. Dry Bar Dry Bars are located all over NYC. They are more affordable than Cutler and gie great blowouts. QQ Affordable nail salon
