Incredible food - make sure to make reservations well in advance! Get the pistachio cake!
One of our favorite restaurants in Newport! If you're in the mood for pasta, great wine and incredible desserts - you can't go wrong here.
This is one of our favorite places to grab breakfast, right in the middle of Newport Shipyard! This spot is extremely close to the Wyndham Long Wharf Resort and Newport Harbor Island Resort.
Doug and Julie's favorite place to get coffee. Grab a cup, sit on the Adirondack chairs, and ponder our favorite question - "what would you name your yacht?"
Castle Hill Inn is one of the most iconic places in Newport. If you bring a car, we highly recommend exploring the island via Ocean Drive and grabbing a cocktail at sunset on The Lawn, where you will experience some of the most beautiful views Newport has to offer!
The Cliff Walk is a must-do in Newport. Every time we visit, Julie runs the Cliff Walk at least once during the trip. Enjoy incredible view of the coastline and Newport's famous mansions. If you're feeling adventurous, climb the rocks at the base of the 40 steps! If you've had enough adventure and would rather drink a glass of champagne with incredible views, we highly recommend The Chanler, one of the Parent Family's favorite haunts. This boutique hotel and adjoining restaurant is located at the start of the Cliff Walk, right above First Beach.
See Newport by boat! Doug and Julie personally love the speedy Rum Runner at sunset (a Newport classic), but if you're more of a mimosas-in-the-morning-on-a-sailboat - there's a cruise for you too.
Step back in time to the Gilded Age! Newport is known for the beautiful "summer cottages" of some of the most influential families of the 19th Century, including the Vanderbilts, Morgans and Astors. Our favorite mansion to explore is The Breakers, but also recommend The Marble House, Rosecliff and The Elms.
Doug can't walk by this arcade without going in and trying to get the top score at the pop-a-shot. If you beat him, the wedding weekend is ruined.
