Julie & Daniel

Dan and Julie met volunteering for Denver Urban Scholars (now Denver Kids). We lucked out that our mentees went to the same school and were cool with group hangs. We got to know each other as friends through our monthly community meetings and various mentee activities. After a year of knowing each other, Julie asked Dan if he wanted to go see the “Downton Abbey” movie. It’s still unclear if it was an official date, but Dan was smitten the moment Julie pulled a jar of scotch from her purse during the previews.
