It all began in December 2017, when we first met as coworkers. Not long after, Brock showed up with a balloon that read “It’s My Day” and a tiny plant, an interesting but undeniably cute gesture that made a lasting impression. Though we both felt a spark, we were busy building our careers and kept things in the coworker lane… until life, as it often does, had other plans. From Lightning games to office outings, we always seemed to find each other in the crowd, like fate was quietly working behind the scenes. As our friendship grew, so did our connection. We quickly discovered we had a lot in common: a shared love of trying new foods, a mutual enthusiasm for Spanish wine, and a passion for music (though Brock might skip the Taylor Swift playlist). But more than anything else, we just loved to laugh, whether at silly jokes, unexpected moments, or each other’s quirks. Those laughs became the soundtrack to our beginning. Over the years, we’ve traveled the world side by side. Every trip has been an adventure, from savoring the food and local culture to dancing at music festivals and hiking to waterfalls. Each journey we’ve ended with a visit to a rose garden. Whether it was Amsterdam, Punta Cana, Toronto, London, Geneva, every city’s garden told a story of our love in bloom. After six years of exploring the world together, our greatest adventure unfolded in Madrid. On August 31st, 2024, Brock led Julie to a rose garden near the Royal Palace, got down on one knee, and asked her to share the rest of their lives together. Now, as we prepare to say “I do,” we find ourselves reflecting on all the laughter, adventures, and quiet moments that brought us here. Every memory has shaped our love into something truly beautiful, and we can’t wait to begin this next chapter as husband and wife.
