Things To Do

The restaurant won't be ready for us until 6:00 pm! Luckily, there’s plenty to do nearby—grab a drink, wander the neighborhood, or pop into a nearby museum before dinner.

Ryan's Daughter

350 East 85th Street, New York, NY 10028

A neighborhood Irish pub with a laid-back, "locals" feel. Grab a Guinness and head upstairs for a game of pool or darts.

Dorrian's Red Hand (NYC)

1616 2nd Avenue, New York, NY 10028

A neighborhood staple with plenty of TVs to catch the game. It’s a solid spot to grab a drink and hang out with a crowd before dinner.

The Penrose Bar

1590 2nd Avenue, New York, NY 10028

Our second date spot—a gastropub with great cocktails and a slightly more elevated vibe.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art

1000 5th Avenue, New York, NY 10028

Is the Met Gala on November 7th this year? No, it's just our wedding guests looking dapper on the steps of the Met. Whether you want to actually head inside to pretend you understand art, or just grab a coffee, sit outside, and people-watch, you can't go wrong here (NY residents: Pay what you wish. Everyone else: $30).

The Frick Collection

1 East 70th Street, New York, NY 10021

Located inside a Gilded Age mansion that feels straight out of Bridgerton, the Frick Collection features beautiful indoor gardens and a brand-new café. If the Met feels overwhelming or too crowded, this museum is the perfect size to explore in an hour ($30 per person, closes at 5:30pm)
