We love your little ones, but we've decided to keep the celebration adults-only. The only children in attendance will be Leila, Emmett, and Kiera, who are helping us tie the knot. We hope you’ll use this as an excuse to enjoy a night out in Manhattan and take a well-deserved night off from Mom and Dad Duty.
We aren't coordinating a formal block, but we recommend looking for accommodations near the Upper East Side or Midtown East to keep travel to the Conservatory Garden and reception simple. If you need help deciding on a neighborhood or a specific hotel, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to help.
Dress up with us! Suit and tie, cocktail dresses, and evening attire encouraged. Note: Since our ceremony will be outdoors, you may want to bring a wrap or coat to stay warm as we exchange vows. The path to the ceremony location is fully paved and a short walk, so feel free to wear any kind of heel without fear. If you plan on walking around between the ceremony and reception, you may want to bring a pair of flats to change into.
Taking a cab, Uber, or Lyft is the easiest way to get to the gate. Ask your driver to drop you off at 5th Avenue and 105th Street. This will put you right in front of the Vanderbilt Gate, which is the main entrance to the Garden. For Uber or Lyft, you can set your drop off location to "Vanderbilt Gate." By Subway: Take the 6 Train to 103rd Street (Lexington Avenue) and walk west to 5th Avenue, then north to 105th Street (~10 minute walk). Alternatively, take the 2 or 3 Train to Central Park North (110th St-Malcolm X Plaza) and walk south along 5th Avenue (~10 minute walk). By Bus: The M1, M2, M3, or M4 buses run south on 5th Avenue and north on Madison Avenue. If you are coming from Midtown or the Upper East Side, get off at the 5th Ave/E 105th St stop.
Our ceremony will take place under the pergola within the Conservatory Garden. Please enter through the Vanderbilt Gate, located at 5th Avenue and 105th Street. This is the large iron gate that serves as the main entrance to the gardens. Once you walk through the Vanderbilt Gate, you will be in the Center Garden (the garden with the large lawn and fountain). Walk straight ahead toward the back of the garden. The pergola is the elevated, semi-circular stone structure overlooking the lawn and fountain. It is a very short, paved walk (less than 2 minutes) from the 5th Avenue entrance.
It won't. (but if it does we'll provide umbrellas)
