FAQs

Here are some answers to a few questions. If you have any more, please reach out! We will update this page if needed.
Question

What is the easiest way to get from the airports to the hotels?

Answer

Car services such as Uber or Lyft are the easiest. If flying into LaGuardia, it's the only option we would recommend. Newark & JFK are also accessible by public transit, but will both require several transfers.

Question

What should I know about public transit in the city?

Answer

The MTA operates a wide system of trains and buses. Subway cards were phased out this year, so you will need to use an OMNY card or tap a major credit card to ride. Over the weekends, public transit lines are frequently delayed, changed, or suspended to accommodate repairs.

Question

How do I book a longer stay at the Sheraton?

Answer

The room block at the Sheraton is for Saturday, 10/24 to Monday, 10/26. They will honor the group rate for two days before check-in and two days after check-out. To book an extended stay first book the room. Then provide your confirmation number & event name to Stephanie Huang at stephanie.huang@sheratonbrooklynnewyork.com to extend the reservation.

Question

What time and where is the ceremony?

Answer

Question

What can I expect at the venue?

Answer

The venue has a parking lot, however we encourage people to use car services such as Uber or Lyft, over driving themselves. A coat check will be available, and the venue has an elevator to help guests move from the ceremony to reception area if needed.
