Things To Do

The Wedding Website of Julianne Heller and Graeme White
Friends and family from the US and beyond, we are both thrilled that you can join us in Ireland for our wedding this summer. Below are a few recommendations for you to make the most of your trip in our beautiful country.
Dublin

Dublin

Ireland

You will most likely fly into Dublin, our capital city (& Graeme's home town). Here are some of our recommendations: Trinity College: Home to the Book of Kells, and the Old Library (AKA Jedi Library). Graeme went to college here - no he is not a jedi despite his lightsaber collection. Grafton Street: Shopping street known for its buskers and performers. St. Stephen's Green: Scenic park in the City Guinness Storehouse: Home of the black stuff and worth visiting to learn how to pour the perfect pint. SANDEMANs Walking Tour: Dublin is a walkable city, this is the best way to learn about the history & culture. Others places to visit: Molly Malone Statue, George's Street Arcade, Powerscourt Townhouse, Natural History Museum, National Gallery of Ireland, National Museum of Ireland, The Spire, The GPO, Temple Bar Our Favorite Pubs: Neary's, Bowe's, Toner's, O'Donoghue's, The Old Stand, Kehoe's, Mulligans Food: The Bank, Fade St. Social, Bread 41, Bambino's, Leo Burdock's

Wicklow

Wicklow

Ireland

Wicklow, known as the Garden County of Ireland, is where we got engaged last year and the location of our wedding venue! It’s packed with scenic spots for hiking and adventure—here are some of our top recommendations: Glendalough: A must-see for history and nature lovers, with scenic trails, peaceful lakes, and the ruins of a 6th-century monastery. Wander the round tower, explore ancient churches, or soak in the stunning Wicklow Mountains. Powerscourt House & Gardens: This grand 18th-century estate boasts world-famous gardens, terraces, and a Japanese garden. Enjoy breathtaking views of Sugarloaf Mountain, plus a cozy café and local craft shops. Powerscourt Waterfall: Ireland’s highest waterfall (121m), surrounded by lush forests. A perfect spot for a picnic, a peaceful walk, or stunning photos. Bray to Greystones Hike: A 7 km coastal walk with breathtaking sea views. Finish in Greystones for a coffee at The Happy Pear before taking the DART back to Bray.

Wild Atlantic Way

Wild Atlantic Way

Galway - Clare - Kerry, Ireland

A trip to Ireland wouldn’t be complete without exploring the Wild Atlantic Way. Here are 3 must visit spots: Galway: The cultural heart of Ireland, Galway is a vibrant mix of history, culture, and craic. Wander through the Latin Quarter' cobbled streets buzzing with live music and cozy pubs like Tigh Neachtain. Stroll along the Salthill Promenade for stunning bay views, visit the historic Spanish Arch and get some seafood. Clare: County Clare is full of natural beauty. The Cliffs of Moher are breathtaking, while Doolin is famous for its traditional music and delicious seafood. Stop at Moran's Oyster Cottage for fresh seafood on your way from Galway. Explore the limestone landscape of the Burren and ancient sites like Poulnabrone Dolmen, or take a boat trip to the Aran Islands. Kerry: The Ring of Kerry is a scenic drive through towns like Killarney, where you can visit Killarney National Park, Torc Waterfall, and the stunning Conor Pass, along with the Gap of Dunloe.
