Our Favorite Places

Cooper and I are so excited to celebrate our special day with you. Since some of you may be new to Alaska, we wanted to share a few of our favorite places to help you explore and enjoy your time here.

El Pastor

12300 Old Glenn Highway, Anchorage, AK 99577

A newer favorite for our family. We love stopping here for a quick but really good meal, and their weekend breakfast is just as good.

El Green-Go's

390 L Street, Anchorage, AK 99501

This is one of Cooper’s all-time favorite taco spots. They smoke their own meats, and the brisket is amazing. It’s only open in the summer, which makes it even more special.

Snow City Cafe

1034 West 4th Avenue, Anchorage, AK 99501

This is one of our favorite places for brunch—and it’s extra special because it’s where we had our very first date. The food is always amazing, and it will always be a favorite of ours.

Waffles and Whatnot

500 Muldoon Road, Anchorage, AK 99504

One of Cooper’s favorite brunch spots. He goes here with friends from work and always recommends the Breakfast Stack.

Saverio's Pizzeria

530 East Benson Boulevard, Anchorage, AK 99503

We’re both pretty picky when it comes to pizza, so when someone recommended Saverio’s, we were excited to find a place we both love. It quickly became our favorite pizza spot.

Eye Tooth Tavern & Eatery

Eye Tooth Tavern & Eatery

8330 King Street, Anchorage, AK 99518

We first came here with Julianne’s grandma after a fun day of shopping. It was Cooper’s (and Grandma’s) first time, and now it’s one of Cooper’s favorite places—especially for the spicy chicken sandwich.

Nonna’s Osteria

Nonna’s Osteria

201 West Herning Avenue, Wasilla, AK 99654

This one is worth the drive if you’re up for it. We discovered it through social media and were blown away. The fettuccine is the best we’ve ever had, and even Cooper—who normally hates salad—loved it here.

Wild Scoops

530 East Benson Boulevard, Anchorage, AK 99503

Our favorite ice cream spot—hands down the best we’ve ever had. They rotate flavors seasonally, with a few favorites available year-round. • Cooper’s go-to: chocolate on a homemade waffle cone with Baked Alaska • Julianne’s go-to: White Raven on a homemade waffle cone

Hatcher Pass Cabins

Hatcher Pass Cabins

9000 North Palmer Fishhook Road, Palmer, AK 99645

One of our favorite places to go. There are lots of beautiful hikes, but even if you don’t feel like hiking, the drive alone is worth it for the views.

Eklutna Lake

Eklutna Lake

Anchorage, AK

This place means a lot to us. We’ve gone hiking, walking, paddle boarding, and four-wheeling here, and it’s also where we got engaged.

Kincaid Park

9401 Raspberry Road, Anchorage, AK 99502

A popular spot for walking, biking, and skiing. We don’t go all the time, but we love walking the trail down to the beach when we do.

The Musk Ox Farm

The Musk Ox Farm

12850 East Archie Road, Palmer, AK 99645

We visited this past summer and had so much fun learning about the animals and seeing them up close. It’s a really unique experience.
