Our Beautiful Story

Ever since Cooper was a little boy, he’d always dreamed of living in Alaska. Other than the immense natural beauty, and vast landscape; he could never fully put his finger on why this physical place was so desirable. He would soon come to learn that this place had so much more to offer than what he’d seen or imagined. Fast forward years and years later, Cooper gets orders to report to Alaska from the U.S. Army. He never imagined moving there would completely change his life forever. Cooper and Julianne weren’t necessarily “looking” for anyone when they met. They were both semi-introverted (especially Cooper in a new place), and not the biggest fan of crowds and large gatherings. However, as I the author (Cooper) quickly came to learn, the spirit of true love can bring the two right people together under any circumstances. Their first date was at Snow City Cafe in downtown Anchorage. As for Cooper, the first date pretty much sealed the deal. Julianne from the get go made him feel confident, excited to be living in the moment, and most importantly, at home. From that date on it was history. The two of them could barely spend anytime apart. At first dating started out by just two people feeling so very comfortable in their own around / because of each other to the point where they became the bestest of friends. Many dates followed. Many more restaurants, snowboarding, pottery, hiking, shopping...it never mattered what it was. They would laugh, smile, flirt, cry...from the outside looking in, imagine how jealous other people were of a relationship like that. Now present day, I, Cooper, have the privilege, honor, and quite frankly the best luck in the world to be able to soon call Julianne my wife. Once we are married, not much will change. We will continue to laugh, smile, flirt and cry just like we did upon first meeting each other. We will grow through our middle-aged years together, grow old together, and for the rest of my life I will be eternally grateful that I not only found my bestest friend in the world, but that I get to forever call her my beautiful wife.
