We have many different versions of how we answer the question, "so how did you two meet?" and you'll likely hear a few at the wedding. One version is that we both think the world needs some improving, so we ended up in the same office in DC. Julian was working to stop climate change and Emma was getting big money out of politics. Our first date (which wasn't a date, because, you know, these things are complicated), was going to an anti-nuclear rally and grabbing dim sum on the way. Emma was immediately drawn to Julian's blunt, honest humor and he was blown away by her combination of smarts and boldness. Despite both our best efforts at avoiding relationships at the time, we couldn't help but spend more and more time together. We just clicked. Now you can find us nesting in our new home in Brewerytown, snuggling with our cats, playing board games and D&D, and debating the minutiae of politics. Somehow, we manage to love each other more each year, and we are so excited for this opportunity to share our love and commitment with all of you.
