We first met in middle school at Goodnight Junior High but really got to know each other at San Marcos High School, where we shared classes almost every year. Though we had quiet crushes on each other in high school, the timing was never quite right. Michelle admired Julian’s kindness, patience, and humor. Julian was drawn to Michelle’s hardworking, sweet nature and loved being the one she could rely on. In 2020, as college was coming to an end, Michelle reached out to Julian unexpectedly. What began as a simple conversation turned into something much more. Their connection was instant, familiar, and effortless. Before the call ended, Julian asked her out—and from that moment on, their story truly began. From late-night talks to weekends together, to building a life side by side, they've been falling more in love ever since—and now, they’re ready to begin forever.
To celebrate our third anniversary, we planned a weekend escape to Dallas—filled with great food, exciting tours, and plenty of time to enjoy each other’s company. On the second-to-last day of our trip, we dressed up in new outfits, had dinner at one of our favorite spots in the city, and then, as a surprise for Michelle, headed to Denton for a planetarium show. Beneath the stars of the dome, we marveled at the wonders of the universe—learning about light, dark matter, and the mysteries of the cosmos. After the main presentation, the show turned into a live tour of that night’s sky. And that’s when something magical happened: a final constellation appeared, accompanied by a question. Projected alongside it were photos of our favorite memories together, as if the universe itself was telling our story. Then, Julian turned to Michelle and said, “You are my universe, and I want you for as long as a single star paints the night sky. Will you marry me?” Michelle said yes, and they captured the moment beneath the glowing stars of the planetarium. As they left, hearts full of love, they knew they were beginning a new chapter together—as an engaged couple.
