Passport Information

In order to travel to Costa Rica an up to date passport is required. Please check you passport expiration date and see if it needs to be renewed. *Please be aware that many countries require passports to be valid for 3-6 months after the date of your trip* If you need a new passport make sure to to submit your application at least 3 months in advance in order to ensure it arrives on time.

Flight

Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR) - Liberia, Costa Rica

This airport in Liberia is ~25 minutes from the El Mangroove hotel. The easiest way to get to the hotel is by booking a cab with the concierge. You can also order an uber once you arrive or take a taxi that will be waiting outside (this will require cash). *The larger airport in San Jose will have more flights available, but please note it is about a 4-5 hour drive to El Mangroove*

Rental Car

Alamo / Avis / Budget / Enterprise / Hertz

Liberia Airport (LIR) has most of the major car rental agencies available. The stands for each company are located next to the Baggage Claim area, after you've cleared immigrations. Rental cars are not located on site at the airport, but each company offers free shuttle service to their offices down the street. *Rental cars are not needed to reach El Mangroove - taxis and car services are available.
