Ann Rene (Nene) and Julia have always shared a special bond even though they are six years apart. From gymnastics to Cheer Athletics to binge watching shows on The Couch with hot fries to both going to the greatest school in the SEC to becoming ZISTAS, Julia has always adored the friendship with her baby sister. Fun fact: Nene played a key part in keeping the proposal a secret from Julia. Nene’s master sneaky skills were a massive help to Reed due to his fiancé’s love for snooping. Julia cannot wait to have her little mini me by her side!

Pierce Blanchard

Best Man

Pierce & Reed go way back and have a lot in common. For instance, they have the same last name, grew up in the same house, and get this… they share the same birthday! It’s wild commonalities like this that serve as the foundation of such strong friendships. All jokes aside, Reed & Pierce went through just about every life experience together up until graduation from college. This includes going to the national championship-winning University of Georgia, living in the same apartment in Athens, choosing the same major, working at the same companies (at certain times), and now we will be standing next to each other at our weddings. Reed could not imagine his big day without having Pierce by his side.

Avery has always been Julia’s fierce defender. *without hesitation* The day she met Reed she pulled him in close and said, “if you hurt my sister, I will kill you.” Then swiftly pulled away and said, “anyways let’s have a great night!” With a big smile on her face yet intensity behind her eyes, Reed understood the message. But fun fact: Avery helped Reed pick out her sister’s diamond so they’ve come a long way since that first encounter. You’ll find Avery on the dance floor or asking every bartender for a Truly on January 6th!

Taylor Blanchard

Taylor & Reed also go way back, and Taylor has always been a great big brother, mentor, and even roommate of Reed’s back in college when they both (along with Pierce) attended the national championship-winning University of Georgia. Reed is happy to admit that Taylor is way cooler as he has a side gig as a driver instructor at the Porsche experience in Atlanta. Reed can’t wait to celebrate his big day without big bro present.

Anne Marie and Julia were destined to become great friends upon meeting each other at Alabama cheer tryouts. The stars aligned when they both went Zeta and eventually became best friends. Even though the bride and her bestie are miles apart, they find ways to keep each other on FaceTime for hours (with a record high of a little more than 7 hours.. yes you read that right). Julia cannot fathom her wedding day without her girl by her side. You’ll find AM tormenting Reed and all UGA fans as well as bringing vibrant and joyous energy into the Meyerson!

Luke Cione

Luke…. I am your future brother-in-law. Luke has always served as the calm, wickedly smart, safe haven for Reed dating all the way back to when Reed first met the very intimidating Cione clan (Dallas Cione clan to be exact, the Austin Ciones aren’t as scary). Reed and Luke have shared a lot of good times together and can always count on at least one other guy being present at all the various Cione gatherings.

Rachel Chandler

Our matchmaker! Reed and Julia owe this girl the world for making this whole thing happen! Since day one of meeting Rachel, Julia wanted to befriend her. Luckily, the two were paired together often after joining Zeta since their last names lined up. They quickly became close friends and eventually roommates as well. They shared the same major, love for Orange Theory, and many other things so they spent a majority of their college years by each other. Julia wishes she could make NYC and Dallas closer as she misses this sweet soul dearly. It will be such an honor to have Rachel (our Cupid) stand by our side!

TRON! Making saying inappropriate things at inappropriate times cool since 1994. Trenton and Reed go all the way back to their high school days, where Reed unknowingly was playing against his future best friend (and former all-county standout), Trenton Gantt. Through the fraternity days at the national championship-winning University of Georgia, and the timeless memories made as roommates at Scarborough Place, these two have always had a special bond. Reed couldn’t be more proud to call this military standout one of his best friends, and looks forward to having him there on the big day.

Mitzi Anderson

Big S/O to Carlos for somehow convincing this Georgia girl to move to Texas because Julia needed another sassy human in her life. Mitzi and Julia became close friends and have been taking the Big D & wedding planning full send together. You’ll find Mit Mit dancing a whole lot better than the bride and majority of guests as she is a true dancing queen! Julia is jazzed to have sweet Mitzi stand by her side!

Carlos Fuentes

Carlos has always been a great friend to Reed through just about every phase of life. Middle school, high school, college, internships, and now we are both learning how to provide support, not solutions, to our very beautiful, yet stressed-out, Dallas fiancés. Their friendship is battle tested as during the COVID era they lived in the same apartment and were employed by competing companies, while working across from each other at the same table from home. Reed looks forward to having Carlos there on his big day and making more memories in the Lone Star State.

Lynn Brantley-Jones

Lynn and Julia met through being Zetas together at Alabama and the two became even closer once they figured out that they both enjoy an Irish exit. They’ve enjoyed many Irish exits since college thanks to their significant others becoming friends and karaoke partners. Even though they are thousands of miles apart, every time they get the chance to chat, it feels as if they are in person again. Julia cannot wait to get Lynn back into the states for the big day and have her by her side!

Jerod Jones

Jerod & Reed met through their significant others, Julia & Lynn, and when they get together you can always count on some unprovoked singing/playing of good music. They have had some great times together despite only knowing each other for a few years. Most notably, Jerod introduced Reed to his favorite restaurant on the planet, Bird’s Nest wings in Chicago. A somewhat common trend in this group, but Jerod and his wife are both in the bridal party in Reed & Julia’s wedding, and Reed can’t wait for all the fun times they will have as married couples in the future.

Olivia and Julia became close friends in college and is known to get stuck in Dallas from time to time. Thank you to all the delayed and/or canceled flights that allowed Julia to snag her friend from Chicago over the years! Julia is so grateful to have a friend that she can always count on to have deep conversations with about truly any topic and she cannot wait to have Big O stand by her side!

The glue that holds all good friend groups together is that old, wise friend. Greco has always been that guy. Following the common trend here, Reed and Greco have always been good friends since their time at Etowah high school, where Greco had achieved unimaginable levels of popularity due to his humor & good looks. This carried over to college where Greco and Reed shared many great memories as pledge brothers at the national championship-winning University of Georgia. You can count on Greco for all the fun stories from high school & college on the big day.

Mrs. Wood (Fucich / Rachel) and Julia have been friends since our Tuscaloosa and Athens days. Some of Julia’s favorite memories with Rachel were road trips to see their future husbands at UGA. You’ll find Fucich callin’ Baton Rouge and/or taking down a glass of wine faster than it was poured. Julia cannot wait to have her fellow wine women by her side!

Aside from being a former high school cross country standout and national championship-winning University of Georgia fraternity legend, Tommy Mixon happens to be a great friend. Tommy and Reed have always shared a mutual appreciation for nice cars, and sometimes they like to imagine what cars they’d be driving today if engagement rings weren’t so expensive. Reed is honored to have Tommy by his side on the big day.

Julia and Nicole were Bama Zetas and roommates together in college. They've always shared common interests in obsessing over flowers, admiration of Monique Lhuillier, love for their dogs and many other things!Even though we are years removed from graduation, Julia and Nicole can easily jump right back into conversation with each other as if they had still been living together to this day. Julia cannot wait to have Nicole by her side!

Like others in this group, Reed & Mike go all the way back to middle school. You wouldn’t know it by looking at his frail stature today, but Mike was an all-county standout in football at one point. Although he may not be the same khaki-wearing guy we all used to know, he’s a dang good friend and Reed may go visit him in NY at some point (probably not but we’ll see). Reed couldn’t imagine not having Mike there on his wedding day.

From the day Julia met Maddie during an Athens visit, she knew they would become great friends. And after many years of plotting future family trips, engagements, and figuring out ways to visit each other between Texas & Georgia, they are becoming future sister in laws! Julia couldn’t imagine her wedding day without Maddie by her side and cannot wait to share a bottle of a fabulous red once the two have both officially become Blanchard’s next year. You’ll find Maddie dancing better than most alongside Mitzi so be sure to copy them if you find yourself without some dance moves.

Brandon and Reed go back almost as far as Pierce & Taylor. Growing up on the same street together (shout out to Longwood Drive), Reed & Brandon got into all kinds of shenanigans throughout middle school, high school, and so on. Brandon has always been one of Reed’s best friends, and I’m proud to say that he’s come a long way since the days he used to roller skate past my house with his dogs pulling him the entire way. Due to his height, we may need to put him towards the end of the lineup at the ceremony, but don’t think for one second that it takes away from how instrumental Brandon has been to Reed’s life.

AKA- The MOB. Julia is so thankful for her amazing mother and example she has set as being a loving and dedicated wife to her father. She is beyond grateful for her time, effort, and fabulous handwriting skills as well as her love for details. If anyone knows how to throw an iconic event, it’s Jill Cione, so Julia can’t wait for her to get to enjoy the big day and see all her hard work pay off. I love you so much, Mom! Reed is beyond thankful for the love and support he always received from his mother. Dating back to when he was in elementary school needing help on projects, going to & from all the various football practices/events in the Suburban, and providing guidance through the college/early adulting days. Everyone who knows Debra will immediately speak to how kind, thoughtful, and loving she is. She has an unmatched ability to make everyone who steps into her home and life feel loved & cared for. These are qualities that will serve Reed well as begins to prepare for his journey of marriage with his lovely bride-to-be, Julia. Reed would not be where he is today without the many examples she has provided over the years of how to be a great person.

Reed would not be the man he is today without the prime example set by his father, Dan. Whether it be him showing him what it means to be a loving and loyal husband, or how to find humor in tough situations, Reed has always had a someone to look up to and learn from. Reed also has to give credit to his father for his great taste in music. Some of the best memories Reed often recalls from his childhood were the rides to & from football games in the Jeep, where Boston and the Eagles were commonly being played through the speakers. Through all the support in life’s hardest moments to the great memories of attending Reed’s first UGA football games, Reed couldn’t be more grateful for his father.

Todd (Uncle T) is a part of House Cione, residing in Austin with his iconic wife, Elizabeth. When Julia and Reed started thinking about the ceremony, they decided they wanted someone super special to them to officiate. It wasn’t hard to reflect on who that special someone would be considering how influential Julia’s sweet uncle has been in their lives. He has always illustrated how to be a great father, husband, man of God, uncle, brother, and overall standout human being. We are so grateful to have him lead us into the biggest day of our lives!
