Matt and Julia’s love story began in November 2023 with the help of perfect timing and the "Hinge" dating app. Julia was in Williamstown, New Jersey celebrating her cousins Timmy and Lynsey’s wedding at Scotland Run Country Club while Matt was at his parent's house celebrating a belated Thanksgiving just a few miles down the road. The next day, Julia’s sister, Danielle, had to convince her to open "Hinge" since Julia was certain dating apps were not her thing, and expected to find no one of interest. Well, that changed the moment she came across Matt’s profile. One look was all it took for Julia to swipe "yes." Matt, who notoriously hates driving, had his "Hinge" match radius set to just five miles (at the time, he and Julia lived 33 miles away from each other). Fate and geography were on their side that day, and they were within range. One swipe led to another and the rest is history. Their first date was at Tannery Run Brew Works in Ambler, Pennsylvania on December 5, 2023. A couple of drinks and the usual first date nerves followed, so they decided to give it another try at Peddler’s Village for their second date - and that is when the sparks truly flew. After a walk through the Christmas Village, they ended their night with a drink at John and Peter’s in New Hope where it became clear this was just the beginning of something special.
