As a long-time yogi, Julia found peace and tranquility at a yoga studio in midtown, Sacramento, CA. Jeff started yoga at the same studio as a suggestion from his doctor for his back. Jeff quickly became the studio's joyful mayor, while Julia kept to herself. One day, Julia wore tye dye. Jeff commented on Julia's artful mastery of the the art of tye dye, and a few weeks later, her very original Patagonia jacket. Julia then came to find out Jeff was a firefighter who did yoga, and asked him out to tea. They quickly bonded over their love of complex ideas, Abraham Lincoln, the outdoors, and play.
After surviving a global pandemic in a studio apartment, buying a house, and adopting a cat, with all the highs and lows in between, it became clear that Julia and Jeff were in it for the long haul. Rings were being designed, and conversations about finances and designing a life were being had. One weekend, during Julia's busiest time at work, Jeff booked a house at the Sea Ranch and popped the question. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you. See you in Marblehead!
