We can't wait to celebrate with you!

Throughout the years, we have always been so close to meeting each other, going to elementary school at St. Mary's and attending the same high school. But when the timing was right, we connected after seeing each other at the grocery store one day. This led to our first coffee date at Grindhouse Cafe, where we spent the evening learning each other's interests, dreams, goals and aspirations. Immediately, it was clear that we both valued family more than anything. We also learned that we were both nerds who loved to read The Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter, shared a love of music and even our birthdays were just a day apart. Connecting on so many levels made falling in love so effortless. We ended the night by taking a walk around Central Park and hoped to see each other the following weekend. In reality, we ended up seeing each other the very next day and from that moment on, we were inseparable.

To celebrate our 4 year anniversary, David and I rented a little cabin in Michigan for the weekend. I made a playlist of our favorite songs for the trip and couldn't wait to have a relaxing weekend. Little did I know, he had so much more planned than I had expected. At Roundbarn Winery, we took a walk down to a beautiful pond surrounded by trees covered in fall leaves. He handed me a bag with the sweetest handwritten card and a little gift. When I opened the gift, I discovered it was an ornament that said "Our First Christmas Engaged". I stared at the ornament in disbelief, still processing what this meant and when I looked up, David got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. It was by far the happiest moment of my life! We celebrated by with a bottle of wine and after, we video chatted with our families who couldn't wait to hear the news!
