This broad sandy beach is where we spend many a relaxing day. It is also the site of the proposal! Do not head to the county parking lot; drive down the island toward Access Point 28 or higher. On beautiful weekend days, parking can be scarce along Palm Boulevard, so consider arriving early.
This waterfront is an exciting place to have lunch, grab a drink, or watch the sunset. Restaurant options include Saltwater Cowboys, NICO, and Tavern & Table.
Downtown Charleston is magical. The French Quarter and South of Broad represent the most touristy but the most picturesque neighborhoods. If you haven't yet traveled to Charleston, check out Rainbow Row, the Waterfront, the Pineapple Fountain, and wander around downtown to peek at an array of beautiful old homes. There are some fun restaurants in the area as well, but you may need to make a reservation in advance!
