This is just the beginning...

Ilya and Julia met in 2017 while she was in school and he was serving in the Marine Corps. They bonded over their shared Russian heritage, their love for good food, and sarcastic sense of humor. After 5 years, they have supported each other through all the twists and turns life threw their way. Now, settled in their new house in a quiet town in Maryland, Ilya works for a software company and Julia is an oncology nurse. In April, Ilya popped the question on a beautiful park overlook with a view of the Shenandoah River. Even though it was April, and there was nothing in the forecast, it snowed that entire day. Julia said yes surrounded by a blanket of snow, and swirling flurry of snowflakes. With the support of our families, we prepare to say I do.
