Julia's absolute favorite! You're in the south, time for some delicious BBQ. There is nothing better than Lewis BBQ. Enjoy a cold beer in their outdoor garden patio. The Green Chili Corn Pudding is a must.
A little piece of our Nantucket in Charleston. 167 Raw was founded in Nantucket, which as many know, is where Cooper grew up and his parents currently own businesses. This is a MUST when coming, you can't leave without their tuna tartar. But be wary, the waitlist gets long. We recommend showing up right at 11am and getting your name on the list. You can browse the shops of King Street as you wait!
If the line at 167 Raw is obscene, just pop around the corner to their sister restaurant Bar167. You'll find a simple menu, perfect for a quick cocktail and bite to eat. Try to find a seat upstairs on the patio if you can!
Who doesn't love a casual drink with a view? You'll think you took a wrong turn when entering the Vendue, but follow the signs to the elevator, and you'll be happy you did! The Rooftop is a great place to take in the views of Charleston, without breaking the bank.
We stumbled upon Malagon during our first visit to Charleston. Slightly off the beat path, nestled between residential homes this small taparía has a family feel to it. The walls are lined with oils and hanging from the ceiling are sides of cured meats. Definitely worth the visit if tapas are your thing!
Would this list be complete without a bar dedicated entirely to our favorite spirit? Right near the water, this little bar is tucked behind a black iron gate with a cute little courtyard and great cocktails.
