Question

What Is Our COVID/Flu/RSV Policy?

Answer

The safety of our family & friends is of the utmost importance to us. At this time, we encourage all guests who are eligible for the COVID-19 and Influenza vaccine to be fully vaccinated before our wedding. If you or your family has tested positive for COVID-19, the Flu, or RSV, please refrain from joining our event for the safety of yourself and others. We do stress the importance of being vaccinated and to get tested/quarantine if you are symptomatic. We feel that this is the best way to ensure the health and safety of all guests, including those who may be at risk. We thank you for your understanding. Please reach out if you have any additional questions.

Question

When Is the RSVP Deadline?

Answer

Please RSVP ASAP, so that we can get an accurate head count. Thank you!

Question

What Time Should I Arrive?

Answer

There will be a "Baaraat/Borjatri" (groom's procession) that will start at the hotel lobby at 12:00pm on November 19. The Hindu wedding ceremony will start promptly afterward at 1:00 pm. Please arrive at least fifteen minutes early to be seated for the ceremony. There will be refreshments after the ceremony. There will be a 3-hour break between the wedding ceremony and reception. Cocktail hour begins at 6:00 pm.

Question

What Should I Wear?

Answer

Our dress code is cocktail to formal. We welcome all types of clothing whether it be western or Indian or any other culture! However, if you would like to participate in Indian attire, we wear a combination of lehengas, salwars, or saris for females, and sherwani/kurta suit & pant sets for males. These can be worn for the sangeet or wedding day. There will be some time between the Hindu wedding ceremony and reception to relax/change clothes if you choose. The bride and groom's only request is that you come ready to dance the night away. If you would like to wear Indian/South Asian clothing and have any questions about styles or sourcing, please let us know.

Question

Are Kids Welcome?

Answer

Of course! This is a family friendly event. We are sure your little ones will have a great time and would love to see them!

Question

What Kind of Food Will Be Served? What If I have Certain Dietary Restrictions or Allergies?

Answer

Question

Is There Parking Available at the Wedding Venue?

Answer

Question

I Have Never Been to an Indian Wedding Before. What Should I Expect?

Answer

First, we're honored to be your first experience at an Indian wedding. Indian weddings are a beautiful expression and celebration of the union of the bride and groom, their families, and communities through auspicious ceremonies, delicious food, music, dancing, and fellowship. In modern times, we have condensed the many rituals and traditions into a single weekend of celebration. India is a tapestry of different cultures and traditions. Depending on what region and culture of India, wedding traditions vary greatly. Our wedding will be in the traditional Bengali style with a few American touches. Below are a couple of links to introduce you to Hindu/Bengali weddings, if you are interested. We are so excited to share our story and traditions with you!
