Question

When is the RSVP deadline?

Answer

August 30th, 2026

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Semi-Formal or Farm Fancy. Please wear comfortable walking shoes as there is uneven ground. Low heels or chunky platforms with ankle support would be fine! Weather in Santa Cruz can be unpredictable, please bring layers.

Question

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

We are planning on having the ceremony, happy hour and dinner outside. Moving the after party to the barn.

Question

How do I get to the venue?

Answer

Molino Creek Farm is located 30mins north of Santa Cruz. Driving/carpooling is strongly encouraged. We will have a shuttle service from inside the gate to the farm house.

Question

What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin at 4:30pm. Gates will open at 3pm.

Question

Can I bring a plus one? Or kids?

Answer

Yes, absolutely! Please include names during RSVP. Please prepare your kiddos now that there’s NO farm animals onsite ;-) it’s truly a special place and they would love exploring.

Question

What if I have food allergies or dietary restrictions?

Answer

Please use the comment field in the RSVP, and we’ll do our best to accommodate your request.

Question

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

We are looking into hotel blocks based on RSVP requests. Options that are close would be Hampton Inn West Santa Cruz, or Mission Inns and Suites. Any hotel/rental on the West Side of Santa Cruz would be close to Molino Creek.

Question

Will either of you be changing your last name?

Answer

We’ve decided to keep our original last names, Juell and Shady! While we’re joining our lives together in every meaningful way, our names are a big part of our identities, both personally and professionally and we’ve chosen to hold onto them. That said we did consider a few fun options, hyphenating (Juell-Shady, Shady-Juell) and even blending into something entirely new, but in the end, keeping our own names, just felt like the best reflection of who we are as individuals and as a couple. We are open minded and still exploring the possibilities. We know it’s traditional for one partner to change their name, but traditions evolve, and for us this choice reflects the respect we have for one another’s identity, and the shared values were building our life on.
