In a nutshell, YES, a LOT has changed! By now, you know that our original 2020 plans are out the window! It was difficult & disappointing, but for the sake of all of our guests' health, we pushed our date back to a time where all this pandemic stuff is well behind us. So here we are - well into 2021, and our *NEW* Big Date is right around the corner! JULY 10, 2021 New invitations are being made now.. and you're still our most important VIP's. We are both fully vaccinated, and truly hope that by then, ALL of our guests will be too!
We understand that COVID is still on everyone's minds, and your safety is our #1 concern. The great news is that in addition to being charming and beautiful, La Arboleda (our venue) is open-air & outdoors! From the arrivals & "I Do's" to the dinner & dancing, we'll have plenty of room for proper social distancing! We do encourage all of our guests to be fully vaccinated, but regardless - we'll still enforce best COVID safety precautions. So be sure to bring that fancy new mask you've been dying to wear!! AND, we'll be keeping tabs on the Santa Barbara County guidelines and the current Tier level, and updating you all as our big day gets closer. However, If you still feel like you're just not ready to join a big gathering quite yet, that's 100% OK - We completely understand!! We want you to be comfortable & free to just let us know you prefer to not attend. We'll just use that as an excuse to have you over for dinner to celebrate privately (and safely) in the near future.
The Wedding Ceremony and Reception is at an amazing vineyard/orchard venue in Lompoc, just a few miles up the highway from Buellton. If you're familiar with the Santa Ynez wine country, you'll know that Buellton, Los Olivos, and Solvang are the area main destinations with plenty of hotels. Lompoc is also a great option. All 4 little towns are within short driving distance from one another (we're talking 10-12 minutes apart or less). But the best places to stay would be Buellton - where we've reserved a block of rooms at two hotels. Check out the 'TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATIONS' tab for specifics.
Yes. We have arranged a block of rooms at the Sideways Inn. and the Hampton Inn and Suites. Please visit our 'TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATIONS' tab for details on how to book your hotel.
Yes. We'll have shuttles picking up guests at several area hotels, and returning you at the end of the evening... Plan on enjoying yourself, and letting someone else do the driving for the night! Please check the 'TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATIONS' tab for shuttle specifics.
July is a busy time of year in the Santa Ynez wine country.. And our date seems to be a popular one for area weddings. We suggest booking as early as possible to be sure to get the best rate (and to get a room at all!) Don't worry - we've got you covered - we reserved a block of rooms at two area hotels .. Just check our 'TRAVEL & ACCOMMODATIONS' tab and book early so you're sure to get a reservation.
We love your kids—we really do. But for our wedding night, we are not able to accommodate children. Besides, we want our wedding night to be your night off! However - We will be having a Welcome event on Friday night before the wedding, and a Mr. & Mrs. Brunch on the Sunday morning after. We would love to see the kids at BOTH of those events!
If your invitation says “and Guest" , then yes. If not, we would prefer if it was just you.
YES!! The great news is that Santa Barbara County has had a much lower rate of infection than LA County (of course, its much smaller too!) , but many places ARE OPEN NOW! COVID Precautions are in FULL effect, so don't ditch that Mask just yet. And, if you're planning on hitting any other wineries or hot spots - just be sure to double check their individual website for notes on their hours. *Solvang, Buellton, and Los Olivos get super busy during the summer - and with COVID restrictions being lifted, many will be visiting the County for a little weekend getaway. Many places may require reservations!
well of course its ...
