Early one Sunday morning in March 2015. Manny and Bella grabbed two cups of coffee and hit the trail for a blind date hike. Her name was Judy and he couldn’t believe how beautiful she was. She was impressed that he nailed the cream & sugar in her morning brew. One mile turned into 3.5, and Manny nervously joked that Judy was probably searching for a secluded spot to abduct him and chop him into tiny pieces. As the miles kept extending, the morning clouds gave way to a bright, sunny and HOT day. Of course, in true Manny style – he came prepared with a picnic lunch that made Judy’s day. Four hours later, we ended the “quick hike” with a silly bet for a sushi dinner. Judy thinks she won the bet, but Manny knows he was the true winner - a second date with the girl of his dreams. Its been over five years and countless hiking miles, and Manny is still packing picnic lunches for his girl as their adventure continues.
