We met in the wilds of Colorado in June 2022 at a friend’s wedding—think mountains, pine trees, and possibly a bear or two crashing the reception. She flew in from Seattle, the city of coffee and rain, while I descended from Atlanta, land of peaches and humidity. Both of us were guest singers, which basically means we were hired to steal the show with our voices. The night before the wedding, we were supposed to rehearse. But let’s be honest, it was less "rehearsal" and more of a musical standoff—like a dueling pianos situation but with fewer pianos and more awkward glances. Somehow, between the "oops, sorry, was I off-key?" moments and trying not to trip over mic cords, we hit all the right notes—musically and otherwise. By the time we were done, we realized we had more than just harmonies in sync. Who knew a rehearsal could turn into a duet for life?
We still working on picking up a destination
