Question

What does it take to get married in another country?

Answer

ALOT!!! :) If you ever decide to marry in another country, call Angie, she has done all the research!!! Thankfully we recently heard from our attorney that our Guatemalan marriage paperwork is finally ready after months and months of processing and many forms and signatures. This process did not come easy and even included a quick trip to Illinois for even more stamps necessary but we did it!

Question

How long will it take to get Juan to the US full time?

Answer

This has a wide variety of answers because it is dependent on when our spousal case l case is heard. It can also vary depending on what is happening in our world and who receives priority. Our attorney thinks 1 year after filing but we have friends that have waited 2 or 3 years to be together. We will welcome all or any support during this time.

Question

What can I do to help?

Answer

As you can imagine, this is an emotional time being separated, enduring the financial burden and the lack of control over the timeline. (You know how much Angie likes to control things.) Love, prayers and your support is greatly appreciated during this time. Please check out our registry link to see how to support us starting our new lives together!!! Odin will appreciate all your consideration. 😁
