If you've met Mia, chances are good you've heard her rave about "The Gentle Barn". This beautiful animal sanctuary rescues disenfranchised farm animals from abuse and gives them safe haven for life. Experience cow hugs, turkey cuddles, and horse kisses in this beautiful space where animals learn the gentler side of humankind. **Please note: Our "Welcome Event" is scheduled at the Gentle Barn. If you are unable to attend the welcome event and still want to add this experience to your itinerary, "Public Sunday" is the best time to visit The Gentle Barn. Tickets are available online and must be purchased in advance. The Gentle Barn is located in Santa Clarita, 10 minutes from the wedding event. This is a great activity for families and those staying in the Santa Clarita area.
Thermal Horizons Yoga and Wellness Center
Maybe you're looking to break a sweat with some hot yoga or sauna, maybe you're looking for a private reiki session or sound bath? Whether you're looking for a deep stretch, some gentle R&R, Thermal Horizons offers a range of classes and treatments, minutes away from downtown Newhall. This studio is Mia's favorite sanctuary. She basically lives there, and chances are good you will run into her there, grounding before the big day.
The Old Town Junction
Located in the heart of Old Town Newhall on Main St, The Old Town Junction serves quality American Fare. This is a great spot to grab a relaxing dinner that is walkable from the Lexen Hotel. The interior elements are best describes as being Rustic, yet Refined, with accents of American Vintage Charm and Contemporary Decor.
Sidecar Market
This Speakeasy shares a kitchen with Old Town Junction and is also located in the heart of Downtown Newhall. If you're looking for a fun place to grab cocktails that is local to the Lexen hotel, this is a great spot. (Reservations encouraged)
Six Flags Magic Mountain
If you're traveling with kids (or kids at heart), Six Flags Magic Mountain is a fun and easy attraction in the Santa Clarita area. Just minutes from Downtown Newhall, this theme park is a great pick if you're staying in the Santa Clarita area.
The Abbey
Maybe you're familiar with the song "Pink Pony Club"? If you're staying in WeHo, you can't miss this legendary landmark, and inspiration for this track. Chappell Roan describes this as "a special place, where boys and girls can all be queens, every single day".
The Comedy Store
If you like laughing (who doesn't?) this is the spot to see some big names on a small stage. Right in West Hollywood, the Comedy Store offers nightly stand up shows that always hit the spot.
Grand Central Market
If you're staying Downtown, be sure to check out Grand Central Market. This venue has food stalls of every cuisine, and is a must-do bucket item in Los Angeles. While there, check out the Last Bookstore, just down the street.

Calling all food tourists! If you're looking for an after-wedding hangover cure, look no further than this walking brunch tour, hosted every Sunday in downtown Los Angeles. This pop up offers vegan and non-vegan options from many of LA's most popular food vendors, all in one place. This event occurs from 10AM-4PM, Sunday only.
Perch
Enjoy some breathtaking views for dinner or a nightcap at Perch in downtown Los Angeles. This restaurant is best at sunset and later, if you're staying close to LAX.
Dan Sung Sa
Looking for late night eats near Echo Park/ Silver Lake? Venture over to Koreatown, where you'll find one of Juan and Mia's favorite date spots. You'll be transported to a South Korean food stall alley and enjoy some of the best Korean food in the world.
Crossroads Kitchen - Melrose
Crossroads is famously the top vegan kitchen in the country. Mia's sister Lauren, a former chef, was dazzled the first time she tried vegan mushroom calamari, and could not believe it was plant-based. This restaurant is a favorite of Mia's and if you're a plant lover, you really can't miss it.
Porto's Bakery and Cafe
Every good Salvi boy knows you can't come to Los Angeles, and not stop by Porto's and Juan is no exception. Come check out LA's favorite Cuban bakery. There isn't a bad item on the menu, but Juan never misses a potato ball or Cubano sandwich. Note there are various locations throughout the city.
Bottega Louie WEHO
If you have a sweet tooth, or are looking for some brunch and a hair of the dog, look no further. Bottega Louie has a stunning marble aesthetic with white glove service. You can't miss their patisserie selections, with a location in West Hollywood and Downtown.
Osteria Mozza
If you love a Michelin-starred restaurant as much as Juan and Mia do, check out Nancy Silverton's trio of restaurants on the corner of Hollywood & Highland. Nancy Silverton, one of LA's most famous chefs, made her mark in the culinary world with her high-level execution of modern Italian cuisine. Notably from Netflix's Chef's table, Nancy has 3 restaurants on the corner of Hollywood and Highland ave. Osteria Mozza, Osteria Pizzeria, and Chi Spacca. This is where Juan and Mia celebrated their engagement, and fun fact- also saw Danny Devito and Rhea Pearlman at their first visit.
