Are you registered? Where?
Answer
Please visit the "Registry" tab on our website to access our virtual wedding registry. If you are interested in sending us a gift outside of our virtual registry, our mailing address is 400 Wythe Street, Apartment 221, Alexandria, VA 22314. We thank you in advance!
Question
Is there a dress code?
Answer
Our wedding is black-tie optional. We ask that men wear a tuxedo or a dark suit and tie/bow tie and women wear an evening gown, midi or knee-length cocktail dress, or dressy separates.

Are kids welcome?
Answer
While we love your little ones, only kids expressly included in your invitation are welcome to join. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us!

Can I bring a date?
Answer
Our celebration is strictly RSVP only. We will only be able to accommodate those listed on your wedding invitation.

Do you have any hotel recommendations?
Answer
Yes! Please visit the "Travel" tab on our website to view a list of hotels we recommend in downtown Charleston for all budgets. Please note that we have arranged room blocks for the Thomas-LaVia wedding at The Dewberry Charleston, Francis Marion Hotel, and Homewood Suites by Hilton Charleston Historic District.

What time should I arrive at the ceremony?
Answer
Please arrive no later than 15 minutes minutes before our ceremony begins at 4:00 PM EST. For more details on the schedule of events, please visit the "Schedule" tab on our website.

Is there transportation to and from the hotels to the ceremony?
Answer
You bet! We will be offering complementary transportation for all guests from the Dewberry hotel. Please see more information about our private shuttle service under the "Travel" tab on our website.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?
Answer
Oh yes! Please join us for our Welcome Party on the eve of our wedding, Friday, December 6 (location TBD), as well as our Farewell Brunch on Sunday, December 8 (location also TBD). All guests are invited to both events!

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?
Answer
If you would prefer to drive yourself to Lowndes Grove for our wedding ceremony and reception, there is a large parking lot close to the venue you may park at for free.

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?
Answer
Absolutely. You will have an option to indicate any allergies or food preferences on the RSVP card provided to you in our formal invitation.
