Tulip Time Festival
This annual festival is a big deal in these parts and will take place May 4-12, 2024 in a 4-mile radius of downtown Holland. We, Michiganders, take our Dutchness very seriously and put on a good party. It is an impressive mix of 500k tulips, homemade baked goods, local vendors, authentically costumed dancers klomping and whirling in wooden shoes, parades, bands, and basically all-things-Dutch. Plus there is even a 250 year old working windmill! Tammy made Jay take her in 2018, 1 month after they met, and it was a really fun experience.
Lakeshore
Explore all the beaches, village shopping, walking trails, state/county parks, and wineries that are scattered along the lakeshore. The most popular towns are Grand Haven, Spring Lake, Holland, Saugatuk, Fennville, or South Haven. Our favorite winery to visit is Modales Wines in Fennville!
City Lights
If you're in the mood for the city life or are a foodie, then downtown Grand Rapids has an array of culinary choices, is full of breweries, and offers a happening social life with concerts, riverwalks, art, the symphony, and more. We love talking walks around the city and stopping at Brick & Porter for food and spirits!
